Trafficking Justice Monthly Education
Tuesday, June 11th – (2nd Tuesday of Every Month) | 7–8:30 pm
Life Beyond the Lies
For our June meeting, Jessica Teresi will share her personal story of sexual exploitation. Society shames so many victims of violence into silence. During this presentation, she will share about her own experiences of violence and how hitting rock bottom propelled her towards a Life Beyond the Lies.
After struggling for most of her life to overcome the effects of multiple incidences of violence, Jessica started to speak out about her experiences. She spent several years working at local advocacy centers and educating youth on sexual violence prevention before stepping out on her own. Throughout her experiences she learned that life is about more than surviving, it is about thriving, and we can’t do this until we learn to live beyond the lies.

Men’s Weekend Retreat (hosted by Empowering Ranch)
Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Each Men’s Physical & Spiritual Adventure Retreat offers us an opportunity to get out of our boxes, to go into the wilderness, and to be with God and other men. The word for wilderness in scripture has at its Hebrew root the meaning “to speak.” When people go out into the wilderness in scripture, they hear God speak (e.g. Hagar, Moses, the Israelites, Jesus). Come be a part of this adventure where we will tell stories, have conversations, be still, enjoy beauty, explore scripture through the Socratic Method (an invitational, question-rich style of engagement), and feel alive because the topography around us will match the topography of our hearts–and we were created for such congruence.
