Our History

Trafficking Justice was founded by Adri Carlson in 2012 out of Hosanna Church in Lakeville, Minnesota. She had just been on a missions trip to southeast Asia and had seen first-hand the reality of Sex Trafficking there. Adri then found out that trafficking was also happening in Minnesota and approached Hosanna about starting a small group whose goal was to help prevent sexual exploitation and trafficking in our local communities.

The group has grown and expanded over the years, forming partnerships with many churches throughout the Twin Cities Metro area. In December of 2017, Trafficking Justice Inc became incorporated as a non-profit and received approval as a 501c3 organization later that month. Currently, we have 14 people on staff, all of which are volunteer positions. Our annual Freedom Weekend Conference each spring reaches over 1000 people through a series of events at local area churches during a three-day period.
