Special Events
Freedom Weekend 2020
Friday March 20th and Saturday March 21st
Trafficking Justice exists to bring an end to sexual exploitation and sex trafficking in the state of Minnesota. We do this by inspiring, educating, equipping and mobilizing the church to fight this evil that makes a commodity of people who bear God’s image.
March 20 & 21, 2020 marks our 8th annual Freedom Weekend, where we create a learning event with compelling presentations, worship, prayer, and testimonies related to sex trafficking and exploitation. This year we will have a two-part event. One ticket includes both events and lunch on Saturday.
Friday evening (6:30 – 8:30 pm) Attendees will gather for a time of worship, testimonial teaching, guided corporate prayer, and an opportunity for those serving on the front lines to receive prayer and intercession for their work. This will be both celebratory and solemn.
Saturday (8:30 am – 2 pm) This year our content structure will be formatted differently. In order to make sure that people who are anywhere along the spectrum of “brand new” to “a deep understanding” can attend and leave with new knowledge and ideas about both the problems and solutions around trafficking and exploitation. To accomplish this, presenters will be from a wide assemblage of disciplines and engagement. Each will have a brief talk of 10 minutes in length to allow for a variety of perspectives and topics.
