Decoding The Mysteries of the Teen Domain

For our May meeting, Ann Lindberg-Borgen and Monica Jensen will give the presentation originally intended for our February meeting but cancelled due to snowstorm:  Decoding the Mysteries of the Teen Domain.  This presentation is designed to help parents and other caregivers recognize unfamiliar hazards that are often in plain sight.   They will discuss what to look for in a teen’s life and living area, including a myriad of items — that when seen through an educated lens — could be a signal that there is a problem.  This presentation also includes an interactive exhibit, using an actual simulated teenager’s bedroom to help us see clues in that room of possible problems with drugs, exploitation, mental health, etc.

Ann is the Chemical Health Coordinator for School District 197 (Mendota Heights, West St. Paul, Eagan) and Monica is the Community Relations Director for the Dakota County Attorney’s office
